Maximize Your Crop Profit
The ultimate chart for optimizing your farm's gold per day in every season.
Profit Strategy Overview
Most Stardew Valley farmers lose thousands of gold each season planting the wrong crops. Using this Stardew crop profit calculator, you'll see that Blueberries can earn you 650% ROI while Parsnips barely break even. The difference? Understanding growth cycles, harvest multipliers, and processing bonuses.
Quick Answer: Multi-harvest crops like Blueberries and Cranberries typically offer the best ROI. Ancient Fruit in a Greenhouse with Kegs is the ultimate endgame strategy (~236g/day per harvest cycle).
v1.6 Ready
Updated with latest crop values and processing formulas.
Randomness
Actual profits vary based on quality RNG and daily luck.
Discover the most profitable crops with our Stardew Valley Crop Profit calculator. This tool helps you compare gold per day, ROI, and harvest cycles for every season.
This Stardew Valley crop profit chart eliminates the guesswork. Whether you're optimizing your first spring or building an endgame Ancient Fruit empire, our calculator reveals exactly which crops maximize your gold per day.
Gold per Day
Daily earnings normalized across the season.
ROI
Percentage return on your seed investment.
Seed Costs
Calculated for single vs. multi-harvest cycles.
Total Harvests
Maximum harvests possible within the season length.
The basic profitability calculation follows this formula:
Key Variables:
- Total Crops: Number of harvests in the season
- Sell Price: Base selling price of the crop
- Quality Multiplier: Bonus from farming level (1.0 to 1.2×)
- Processing Multiplier: Value increase from Keg or Preserves Jar
- Total Seed Cost: Cost of seeds (once for multi-harvest, multiple times for single-harvest)
Single-Harvest Crops
Crops like Cauliflower, Melon, and Pumpkin are harvested once and then die. You must replant them for each harvest.
Harvest Calculation:
Seed Cost:
Multi-Harvest Crops
Crops like Blueberries, Strawberries, and Cranberries regrow after the first harvest. You only buy seeds once!
Harvest Calculation:
Seed Cost:
This makes multi-harvest crops often more profitable, especially with fertilizer!
As your farming level increases, you produce more high-quality crops (Silver star, Gold star, Iridium star). This calculator uses an average quality multiplier:
Quality Multiplier by Level:
- Level 0: 1.0× (no bonus)
- Level 5: 1.1× (10% average bonus)
- Level 10: 1.2× (20% average bonus)
This approximation accounts for the mix of normal, silver, gold, and iridium quality crops you'll produce at each level.
Note: If you have the Tiller Profession, your raw crops sell for an additional 10%. This calculator includes a toggle to apply this bonus.
Fertilizers reduce initial growth time only — they do NOT affect regrowth time for multi-harvest crops:
- Speed-Gro: -10% initial growth time (0.9× multiplier)
- Deluxe Speed-Gro: -25% initial growth time (0.75× multiplier)
- Hyper Speed-Gro: -33% initial growth time (0.67× multiplier)
Example: Blueberries with Deluxe Speed-Gro
- Normal growth: 13 days initial, 4 days regrowth
- With fertilizer: 9.75 days initial, 4 days regrowth (unchanged)
- Result: 5 harvests instead of 4 (1 extra from faster initial growth)
Common Misconception: Many players assume fertilizer speeds up regrowth. It doesn't! The benefit comes entirely from reaching your first harvest sooner, which can sometimes fit in one extra harvest before season end.
Processing crops increases their value significantly:
Keg (×3 multiplier)
Best for high-value crops like Starfruit and Ancient Fruit.
Preserves Jar (×2 + 50g)
Best for low-value crops where the fixed 50g bonus matters more.
Note: Processing takes time, so this calculator shows the maximum potential value if you process all crops.
If you have the Artisan Profession, all processed goods (Wine, Jelly, Juice, Pickles) sell for 40% more. Toggle the "Artisan Profession" option in the calculator to see these enhanced profits.
Let's calculate the profitability of Blueberries in Summer:
Given:
- Seed Cost: 80g
- Sell Price: 50g per berry
- Berries per Harvest: 3 (blueberry bushes yield multiple berries!)
- Growth Time: 13 days
- Regrowth Time: 4 days
- Season Length: 28 days
- Farming Level: 0
- No fertilizer, no processing
Step 1: Calculate Harvests
Step 2: Calculate Total Crops
Step 3: Calculate Gross Revenue
Step 4: Calculate Net Profit
Step 5: Calculate Gold per Day
Step 6: Calculate ROI
This is why Blueberries are one of the best crops in Summer - 3 berries per harvest adds up fast!
This Stardew Valley crop profit chart ranks crops by gold per day. Values are calculated using: Farming Level 0, no fertilizer (except where noted), 28-day season, raw crop sales (no processing except where noted). Your actual results may vary based on quality RNG and your farming level.
Spring
- Strawberries: ~25g/day (multi-harvest, buy at Egg Festival)
- Cauliflower: ~11g/day
- Rhubarb: ~9g/day
Summer
- Starfruit: ~26g/day (with Deluxe Speed-Gro)
- Blueberries: ~21g/day (multi-harvest)
- Melon: ~13g/day
Fall
- Cranberries: ~23g/day (multi-harvest)
- Sweet Gem Berry: ~18g/day (rare seed)
- Pumpkin: ~11g/day
Greenhouse/All Seasons
- Ancient Fruit: ~79g/day raw, ~236g/day with Keg (per harvest cycle after maturity)
- Starfruit: ~27g/day raw, ~146g/day with Keg (with Deluxe Speed-Gro)
*Starfruit and Rhubarb seeds are purchased at the Oasis store in the Desert.
1. Greenhouse & Ginger Island Farm
The ultimate endgame strategy:
- Plant Ancient Fruit (grows in all seasons)
- Use Deluxe Speed-Gro for faster initial harvest only
- Process everything in Kegs (×3 value = 1,650g per fruit)
- Result: 116 plants × 236g/day = 27,000+ gold per day from Greenhouse alone
Ginger Island Tip: For Ginger Island or Greenhouse planning, set the Season Length to 112 days (full year) to see your annual projected profit.
2. Multi-Harvest Crop Focus
Prioritize crops that regrow:
- Lower seed investment
- Benefit from faster first harvest (fertilizer only speeds initial growth)
- Examples: Blueberries, Cranberries, Coffee
3. Processing Priority
If you have limited Kegs or Preserves Jars:
- Kegs: Best for expensive crops (Starfruit, Ancient Fruit)
- Preserves Jars: Best for cheap, high-volume crops (Blueberries)
- Calculate which gives better gold per day for your situation
4. Giant Crop Strategy
3×3 clusters of Cauliflower, Melon, or Pumpkin can become Giant Crops:
- Yields 15-21 items instead of 9
- Can't be processed, but great for bulk selling
- Adds randomness to profitability calculations
-
Ignoring Multi-Harvest Crops: Single-harvest crops like Cauliflower look profitable but require constant replanting. Multi-harvest crops save time and often earn more.
-
Not Using Fertilizer: Deluxe Speed-Gro speeds up your first harvest, which can add 1 extra harvest before season end. Remember: fertilizer only affects initial growth, not regrowth.
-
Processing Everything: Kegs and Jars take time. Focus on your most valuable crops first.
-
Forgetting Farming Level: A level 10 farmer earns 20% more than level 0 from quality bonuses alone.
-
Planting Too Late: If you plant Blueberries on Summer 15, you lose half your potential harvests. Plant day 1!
